Kansas City Fall FunΒ πŸ‚Β Β

Fall is officially here! You can feel it in the crisp morning air as trees slowly begin to show their autumn colors. 🍁

It's the time of year many of us look forward to the most. Unfortunately, all our favorite fall festivals have been canceled due to the coronavirus: The Weston AppleFest,Β
KC Oktoberfest and Louisberg Ciderfest 🍎 are among the treasured events lost to 2020.

But many local spots remain open through the season (with new COVID-19 measures in place) so locals can still enjoy a festive fall. Or at least stock up on apple butter and cider.

Here's your 2020 list of fun fall activities. Grab your pumpkin spice latte and start planning your next adventure!Β
β˜• Β

Please note:Β There is a risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place, so use your best judgment when making plans for outings. Wear your mask and stay safe!
1. First, a toast to the fall
It feels like we all need a soothing fall beverage right about now.

Monarch Coffee has a menu of seven seasonal drinks to delight the tastebuds.
β˜•Β Complete with a spiced cider and even a non-alcoholic mulled wine, this menu has something for everyone.

There's the Pomme Pomme β€” an iced espresso drink made with apple butter, maple syrup and cashew cream. And Monarch's most popular fall drink, the Sweet Potato Latte,Β has made a comeback as well.Β
🍠

But Monarch isn't the only local coffee shop crafting delicious fall drinks. The Roasterie makes a Pumpkin Spice Latte that's good enough to make you a PSL believer, and itsΒ Spiced Cinnamon Tea Latte is still one of our favorites.Β

2. Fall on the farm
Despite cancelations of the biggest fall festivals, a number of local pumpkin patches, orchards and farms are finding ways for guests to visit more safely and still have fun.

πŸŽƒΒ Faulkner's Ranch acknowledges that the 2020 pumpkin season will look a lot different this year. They've implemented timed tickets, limited capacities and masks are required. But Faulkner's is still hosting a number of Pumpkin Season Events during the month of October.

πŸŽƒΒ Louisburg Cider Mill canceled its 42nd annual Ciderfest, but the farm is open now through the month of October. One ticket includes access to the 10-acre corn maze, hay wagon rides, a children's play area and even a beehive exhibit. There's no shortage of fall fun to be had here!
πŸ“ 14730 KS-68 Hwy., Louisburg, KS

πŸŽƒΒ Carolyn's Country Cousins Pumpkin Patch is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m., now through the end of October. It too has timed tickets and requires masks indoors and anytime social distancing isn't possible. Check out all the attractions, including a pumpkin-launching machine they call "The Pumpkinator."

πŸŽƒΒ Liberty Corn Maze is now open with a new Kansas City Chiefs-inspired design fit for a champion! Check it out when you visit Carolyn's Country Cousins Pumpkin Patch.

πŸŽƒΒ Johnson FarmsΒ is a great option for picking your own pumpkins and apples. The pumpkin patch is now open for business, and you can buy your tickets online.
πŸ“ 17701 Holmes Rd, Belton, MO

πŸŽƒΒ KC Pumpkin Patch may look familiar to those who have visited KC Wine Co. before. On weekends starting Sunday, Oct. 11, you can bring the family for a wholesome pumpkin patch experience.

3. Get Spooky
If you're dying for a spook, there are still a few places you can get your thrills this season.Β πŸ‘»Β

😱 The Beast and The Edge of Hell β€” Kansas City's biggest haunted houses β€”Β are both open weekends through October. Both have mandated masks policies, check temperatures at the door and require guests to sanitize hands before entry.Β
πŸ“ West Bottoms, Kansas City, MO

😱 Wornall House Museum has a number of ghost tours and paranormal investigations to suit your thirst for spooky adventures. Groups are limited to 10 total and guests are required to wear masks when inside the Wornall House.
πŸ“ 6115 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MOΒ

We've got a lot more spooky spots and Halloween fun to dive into as we get closer to October. Stay tuned!Β πŸŽƒ
