Bears Are Back!

There have been a few bear sightings on Ken-Caryl Ranch in the last couple weeks. Remember to remove all ATTRACTANTS:

  • Remove birdfeeders until winter when bears are not active.
  • Place garbage cans outside for pick-up in the morning (by 7 a.m.) on trash day.
  • Burn food off barbeque grills and clean after each use.
  • Remove ripened fruit that has fallen to the ground.
Bears that get too comfortable around people can destroy property or even become a threat to human safety. Habituated bears must often be destroyed. Please don’t let bears die needlessly.

Proposed Changes to Willow Springs Trail Use Agreement

In 2004, a Joint Use Agreement was executed between Ken-Caryl and Willow Springs such that members of each community’s Trail Club who met certain membership standards annually would be eligible to receive permission and an identification tag for use of private Open Space owned by each respective community. At its July 17 meeting, the Master Association Board will discuss a proposal to increase the number of reciprocal tags from 80 to 100. More information about the proposed changes can be found at the link below.
