Covid takes back seat, Still More Businesses to Open
By: Brad Meier
  • Covid 19 was pushed to the back burner as Owatonna joined in the protesting of equal treatment and racial disparity on Sunday.  The protest was peaceful (Pictured).
  • Bars, Restaurants are open for outdoor seating, but allowing some indoor seating is important for many.  Fitness centers need additional options too as these businesses are working for their survival. We are asking the governor to open up more options.
  • Thank you to Gandy and Viracon for working together to manufacture sneeze guards for area businesses (pictured).
  • Watch a revised 'Signing Day' with SteeleCoWorks tomorrow, Wednesday at 5:30pm on the Owatonna Chamber Facebook page.  Hear from businesses, school and student about the work being done locally to connect students with career opportunities locally.
  • Displaying a Safe Shop Zone sign, but haven't registered it yet?  You may be missing out on additional marketing!  A simple (and short registration) will get your business included in free advertising by the People's Press!
