We encourage all interested members to step forward and take part in shaping the future of healthcare at both the local and state levels.
NAM Board of Directors The NAM Board of Directors nominations process is now underway and we invite you to consider playing an essential role in shaping the direction of our organization. This appointment is for a three-year term lasting from January 2025 to December 2027. The NAM Board of Directors oversees the activities of the Academy, upholding its mission and overseeing the implementation of our strategic plan. The time commitment is minimal, typically involving six evening meetings per year, each lasting two hours.
2025 Delegate to the TMA NAM Delegates will caucus in May before the annual House of Delegates meeting. Delegates will need to attend the House of Delegates meeting on May 17, 2025.
TMA Committee Members TMA offers a variety of standing committees, each covering distinct focus areas including Constitution and Bylaws, Public Health, Professional Relations, Education, Membership & Recruitment, Insurance Issues, and the newly introduced Physician Wellness committee. While not all committees are available at this time, opportunities arise throughout the year.
Medical Student and Resident Caduceus Council The Medical Student and Resident Caduceus Council is now accepting applications for its upcoming term. This council provides a platform for NAM medical student and resident members to engage with NAM leadership, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to discussion on medical education, professional development, and healthcare policy. Members of this council will gain valuable experience and insights, helping to shape the future of medicine from the early stages of their career. Click here to apply!

In addition, the Board reviewed resolutions referred from the House of Delegates with significant discussion surrounding the Corporate Practice of Medicine Doctrine. Reports will be referred back to the policy-making body at its next convening in May 2025.
