Zebra Tales presents real stories about real life experiences by people who may be just like you. The stories currently appearing on the app are from Stacie Chevrier, who relates how life lessons from yoga have helped her develop mental strength that facilitates her life with cancer; Felicia Temple, who writes about her journey to a correct diagnosis and proper treatment; Judy Wilkinson, who was looking to introduce something very positive into her life after her NET diagnosis, and Tana Gotcher, who reflects on her journey with carcinoid, which began in 1984. You can read their stories online here, https://healthstorylines.com/blog/?page_id=476 or in the app available from Google Play and the Apple App Store. If after checking out these Zebra Tales you want to share your own story, please email linda@selfcarecatalysts.com.

NET Nutrition is a new nutrition tool made specifically for those living with NETs and/or Carcinoid Syndrome. Determining which nutrients are right for you while living with NETs can sometimes be challenging. The new NET Nutrition feature is overseen by three highly qualified and experienced NET nutritionists who bring a wealth of perspectives and insights. Currently available is an article by Leigh Anne Kamerman Burns, MS, LDN, RD (above center), on how to approach healthy weight gain. A second article, by Deirdre Burke, RD (above left), concerns how to make informed choices about “alternative diets” that claim to be able to solve your dietary goals. Tara Whyand, MSc, BSc, dietitian (above right), addresses common vitamin and mineral deficiencies for individuals diagnosed with NETs. Each article is concise, straightforward and includes tips for healthy eating and some include recipes. Check in regularly for new articles that will help you manage typical diet-related symptoms and offer insights on conversations to have with your healthcare team.
Access the free Carcinoid NETs Health Storylines app mobile app through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
