YOUR NEW DIVISION
Earlier this summer, the Division of Professional Studies was created, encompassing the Center for Distance Learning, School of Graduate Studies, and Continuing Education Institute. As a graduate of one of these areas, you are now part of the DPS alumni community! You'll have access to a wide variety of programming from all areas, opportunities to get involved and connect with us and each other, the ability to join in virtually from anywhere, and more. 
Just as we strive to provide our students with the Ultimate Academic Experience, we want to give you the Ultimate Alumni Experience.

WELCOME, SPRING 2018 GRADUATES!
On May 11–12, UW-Platteville celebrated its 200th commencement, with more than 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students participating. See photos from the Distance Education and School of Graduate Studies Reception here and photos of our graduates here. UW-Platteville has an alumni population of over 62,000, including 2,462 distance education graduates and 3,562 graduates from the School of Graduate Studies.

DISCOVER DISTANCE LEARNING
After starting with a single print-based correspondence program in 1978, distance education is now in its 40th year at UW-Platteville. Today, the Center for Distance Learning offers five graduate and two undergraduate programs online, and one print-based undergraduate program.

ALUMNI BOARD SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
The Distance Education Alumni Board selected Paige Rountree (M.S. in Project Management) and Joshua LeBlanc (M.S. in Engineering, above) as the 2018 recipients of its scholarship. Joshua is also a member of the NSF STEM Scholar Master's Program fall 2017 cohort.

GET TO KNOW GRAD STUDIES
The School of Graduate Studies helps to administer, support, and develop the university's on-campus and online graduate programs. Alumni from the Master of Science in Education and Master of Science in Computer Science programs fall under the School of Graduate Studies.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Jeremy Payne (above, far right) recently traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana, with UW-Platteville students and staff for a weeklong service learning project. Jeremy is an Advisor in the university's Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. He earned his Master of Science in Education: Adult Education in fall 2017.

INTRODUCTION TO THE INSTITUTE
In addition to serving community members and businesses in Southwest Wisconsin and the Tri-State Region, the Continuing Education Institute offers all eight Registry Child Care Credentials, face-to-face and online classes, training, and more to learners of all ages.  
Governor's Trailblazer Awards Wisconsin 2018 logo
GRADUATE WINS TRAILBLAZER AWARD
CEI Child Care Leadership Credential graduate Tammy Dannhoff was recognized with a Pioneer Award, one of the Wisconsin Governor's Trailblazer Awards, which recognize women pioneers in the business community. Tammy owns a child care business in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
