The Produce Department is hosting the inaugural Local Farmer Meeting. This meeting is for all current and potential farmers who supply the Co-op with seasonal, fresh, organic and sustainably grown produce. Our intention is to explain our operations, what we are looking for when purchasing local produce, what helps us sell more produce, and expand the availability of local produce in our store. Also we will be handing out by preseason-planning sheets that explains what and how much produce we want to see on our shelves for the 2015 growing season.

Drinks and snacks will be provided by the Co-op!
A Year to Love The Co-op
Many of us have been in love with our Co-op for years. It's a place to buy delicious and healthy food, get in conversations with people in the community, and it's a member-owned organization that builds our community economically and socially. Chico Natural Foods Co-op helps strengthen Chico's sense of self.
       This year the Board of Directors faces exciting challenges and opportunities with the hunt for a new and larger location where we will be able to serve many more people. If you love the Co-op, this is the year to realize the power of your ownership and make your voice heard.
       Did you know that nearly a third of CNFC shoppers are not owners? Help us by telling your friends why Co-op ownership is important to you. Tell them about local food independence, how small farmers are supported by the store's purchasing power, and how the store is democratically guided. Tell them you own Chico's best and most vibrant grocery store.
        This is the year to engage with this place you love, because what we all do at the Co-op this year will leave an imprint on our community for a generation. Please stay in contact with the board this year, we love hearing from you.

New, Upgraded Shelving!
This month the Co-op will be upgrade nearly all of our in-store shelving!  We will also be shuffling products around in order to make our small space as comfortable, efficient, and easy-to-shop as possible. 

As we all get used to the new layout, there will be additional staff available to answer any questions that you have and to help you find the products you need.  We hope these changes will make for a better shopping experience for everyone.  Our store is going to look fabulous!
