Some nights are fun. Some nights make a difference. This one does both. The DetecTogether Gala, Auction & Golf Tournament brings together laughter, community, and purpose — all to help ensure more families hear the words “we found it early,” and more lives are saved because of it.
This year’s Gala on Saturday, May 30th features Emmy-nominated comedian Mike Birbiglia, incredible food and drinks, exclusive auction packages, and dancing with South of Sunrise Band — all supporting our 3 Steps Detect® programs, which teach people how to recognize early warning signs of cancer and take timely, effective action.
The impact continues at our Golf Tournament on Monday, June 1st, where players, sponsors, and supporters come together not just for a great day on the course, but to help more cancers be detected earlier, when treatment is more effective and futures can change for the better.
Every registration, bid, and swing helps more families hear "we found it early”— changing futures today, together.

FDNY Rewriting the Fire Service Cancer Story with DetecTogether's Training |
We were honored to deliver our lifesaving Response Time Matters: Early Cancer Detection Train-the-Trainer program to FDNY — the largest fire department in the United States.
One participant described it as “a tactical procedure guide” for early cancer detection and another firefighter commented that our "tips on doctor visits were super helpful."
That’s exactly the point. Firefighters train relentlessly for emergency response. This program applies that same tactical mindset to their own health — using a simple, memorable, and actionable plan that helps firefighters understand health changes early and confidently activate healthcare without delay.
Cancer is the leading cause of LODD in the fire service. But trends can be reversed.
With the tools and certification to bring this training back to their companies, these FDNY trainers are helping shift the culture — from reacting late to responding early.
Ready to bring Response Time Matters to your firehouse? Let’s talk.

A new analysis from the Health Action Alliance (HAA), a U.S.-based public health and business coalition, highlights how investing in early cancer detection now can prevent dramatically higher treatment costs later (HAA, 2025). And that means for a firefighters' out-of-pocket cost and the employer.

The Moment That Changes the Odds |
What if the moment that affects cancer outcomes happens before anyone is diagnosed with cancer?
In our latest blog, “The Moment That Changes the Odds,” we look at the critical window between noticing something isn’t right and deciding to act. Backed by National Cancer Institute data (2025) and grounded in DetecTogether’s 3 Steps Detect®, this piece explains why this moment matters more than most people realize.
| |
It’s not about panic. It’s about preparation—and the practical steps that can change everything. Because when action happens sooner, everything that follows can look very different.

Team DetecTogether | 2026 Boston Marathon |
| Shoutout to Michael Sullivan and Francesco Liberatore for leading the fundraising leaderboard!
They’re pushing toward the finish line to save firefighter lives, by helping more cancers be detected earlier — and we’re so grateful for their drive. Let’s help them finish strong.
26.2 miles is tough. Facing a late cancer diagnosis is tougher.
Our runners are choosing to do something hard, so fewer families have to face something harder. Every mile they run fuels early detection education that empowers people to recognize symptoms and seek care sooner.
Thank you for cheering them on and fueling their impact.

| Early detection isn’t always a feeling — it’s often a pattern.
At DetecTogether, we help people understand those patterns and respond with confidence — because knowing what to look for and when to act can make all the difference.
