The 2018 Session of the Mississippi Annual Conference will take place Thursday, May 31st through Saturday, June 2nd. Each year, an equal number of clergy members and lay members attend the conference's annual conference session for worship, fellowship and to conduct the business of the conference. This year's theme is Apprenticeship: A Double Portion coming from II Kings 2:9. Our clergy, Rev. Dawn Douglas Flowers and Rev. Philip Messner will attend, as well as Roger Williams and Jeana Taylor as our lay delegates. Click here to find all things annual conference.
Sunday June 3rd: Youth vs. Parent Volleyball Showdown - 6 to 8 pm @ Liberty Park - Shawn, Dawn and Abby Jo will bring food and snacks, and we invite all youth and their parents to join us for some friendly competition!

  Friday, June 8th @ 5:30: Davis wants to get to know you! Backyard party at the Flowers' home for rising 4th through 6th graders. Join the Flowers family for food and water fun at 147 Sumac Drive!

Sunday, June 10th: Join PHUMC at the MS Braves game @ 5:00 pm. We have reserved tickets in the Dugout level for a group rate of $12 each. Trustmark Park is extending our group rate until June 6th. If you would like to take advantage of the $2 savings, you must RSVP with the church office by June 6th. Or, you can join us at the last minute - just show up the day of the game and purchase tickets at the gate in Section 116 for $14 each.
Saturday, June 16th: Women of the church, join Dawn for the 2018 Women Build. Work slots are from
7:45 am - noon,
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm,
or all day (7:45 – 4:00). Please sign up by this Sunday, June 3rd. We have 6 confirmed workers and we need 10!  Info about work to be done sent out closer to date.

This year's Vacation Bible School will be held June 18th - 20th right here at Parkway Hills from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. (Dinner is included each evening!)

Sign up your children and their friends. They won't want to miss learning about
God's Great BIG World!
On the final night, June 21st, we'll celebrate. Our children will have learned BIG lessons from the story of Jonah, and we will apply them by inviting all the families that live around the park to join us for a Summer Solstice Party at Friendship Park in Ridgeland!
June's Communion Offering will fund our closing VBS outreach party. We are inviting all those living around Friendship Park!

The Open Doors Sunday School class has started a new series, "Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi"  It's an in-depth look at some of the Bible's thorniest parables. If you have not yet found a small group, give Open Doors a try. They meet at 9:45 am on the 2nd floor of the Education Building.

This week, we are packing bags to deliver to Grace Place in Jackson next Wednesday, June 6th. Meet us in the church parking lot at 7:30 am to carpool, or join us there at 8:30 am to worship, serve a meal and share God's love with those who call the streets of Jackson their home.
