Holy Cross Drive detour July 29-31 near Grace Hall

A stretch of Holy Cross Drive, from the East Gate to the Wilson Faculty/Staff Lot entrance, will be closed Monday, July 29, through Wednesday, July 31, due to underground utility work. The closure, which includes the sidewalk, is highlighted in yellow on the map. (Click to see map.)

The staff picnic lunch will be held in Notre Dame Stadium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, in the concourse. (Enter Gate E.) If you take photos of you and your work friends having fun, please email some to ndworks@nd.edu for possible publication.

Liverpool F.C. match in stadium was ‘massive success’

Friday’s high temperatures did not keep 40,361 fans from streaming into Notre Dame Stadium for the highly anticipated Liverpool F.C. vs. Borussia Dortmund exhibition soccer match. Fans included many Notre Dame staff and their families. Read some of their stories here.

Student interns tackle projects around South Bend, Elkhart

Representing dozens of schools, including Notre Dame, the interns are part of the Bowman Creek Educational Ecosystem. The interns pilot projects aimed at addressing real-world problems in areas of South Bend and Elkhart that suffer from long-term poverty, blight and disinvestment. (More…)

Researchers to explore why cancer burden increases with age

With a new award from the National Institutes of Health, researchers from Notre Dame, the National Institute on Aging and the National Cancer Institute will explore why age is significant in developing ovarian cancer, and how it can negatively affect tumor growth and patient survival. (More…)

ND Shakespeare Festival adds roving Shakespeare experience

A collaboration with South Bend Venues Parks and Arts, “Shakespeare Around the Bend” will feature local actors performing scenes from the “Shakespeare at Fremont Park” production of “Shakespeare at the Park with George” at local parks as well as The History Museum. (More...)

Grace Hall Parking Lot sidewalk construction nearly complete

The sidewalk realignment project at the Grace Hall lot is almost finished. The new sidewalks will be open to pedestrian traffic once the finishing touches are done. (More…)
