Their gift was matched by the Champions 4 Access to Education challenge, created by Mark and Kathryn Richardson, resulting in a $2 million impact on scholarship support. I offer my wholehearted thanks to the Roses for their enduring support and foresight in providing vital resources to create the next generation of leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs. Their commitment reflects a deep belief in the transformative power of education and entrepreneurship.
We are also excited to share some remarkable developments from our campus in North Charleston. Here, leaders are forging collaborative partnerships across disciplines and institutions to lay the groundwork for future impact in crucial areas such as energy, sustainability, historic preservation, and more. These collective efforts not only elevate the North Charleston campus but also showcase the broader impact of Clemson University's commitment to providing the No. 1 student experience, research ascension and having an impact in South Carolina and beyond.
Within our college, we continue to cultivate a vibrant culture of innovation and entrepreneurship that empowers faculty and students alike to pursue ambitious goals and drive positive change. Our esteemed faculty members are at the forefront of major initiatives, leading advanced research projects that address pressing challenges in fields such as cardiovascular health. Their groundbreaking work not only expands the boundaries of knowledge but also highlights our commitment to addressing real-world problems through interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.
Moreover, our students are actively engaged in research and entrepreneurial endeavors that exemplify the spirit of innovation ingrained in our college’s DNA. By working on interdisciplinary teams and participating in hands-on projects, they gain invaluable experience and insight into the practical applications of their academic pursuits. From developing groundbreaking technologies to launching start-ups, our students are poised to make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
As we celebrated the Roses’ generosity and the accomplishments of the college’s faculty and students, we affirmed our commitment to inclusivity and workforce development. Clemson University commemorated Black History Month with a series of events, and the college recognized Engineers Week with career-engagement activities that connected students with companies and a panel discussion that helped students explore various engineering professions.
Thanks to each of you for your continued dedication and commitment to our shared vision. The best way to help is to click the “Make a Gift” tab at the bottom of this email and give what you can. Together, we can build a brighter, more innovative future for generations to come.
Sincerely,
