January Greetings from NESA

Happy New Year! We are beyond excited to kick off the year with you at the North Edmonton Seniors Association. We have so many amazing new programs, fantastic instructors, and lots of new members ready to join our wonderful community. The year ahead is full of exciting opportunities, and we can't wait to share all the fun and new experiences with you!

Just as a reminder, programs will officially start the week of January 13, however, several programs and all Auditorium-based programs will begin the week of January 20, due to a multi-day book sale and our special welcome-back event being held in this space on January 17.

(Be sure to check the program guide to confirm your program's start date).

We look forward to seeing everyone soon and wish you all the very best in the year ahead!

Our Programming Team is reviewing enrollment for classes starting the week of January 13 and January 20 and if adequate enrollment is not met for programs, they are at risk of being cancelled! If you have planned on registering yet but haven't, please consider doing so right away to ensure your favorite program doesn't get cancelled!

Free tax webinar for adults 65+

Get ready for tax season! If you are 65 years or older, you’re invited to join the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for a free webinar to learn about the payments and tax resources available to you.

The webinar is scheduled for February 12, 2025 at 12:00pm MST.

Topics they will cover include: credits and benefits that you may be eligible for; pension income-splitting; different ways to file your taxes;
and other helpful tips and tricks.

During the webinar, you will also be able to ask questions, and the CRA will answer them live.

Grocery Gift Cards - Get Yours Today!

Did you know that NESA sells grocery gift cards for Sobeys, Safeway, and Save-On Foods? For every grocery card you buy from NESA, our senior's recreation centre earns a small percentage from each card sale. Those funds then go towards our various seniors fundraising initiatives at NESA.
