Greetings from the Director

Chris Seager, Director of Reunion Giving

It was a joy to welcome so many alumni back to Yale for reunions earlier this summer. The campus was alive with laughter, learning and connections renewed. All in all, a total of 7,460 alumni and their guests attended 22 class reunion celebrations across three weekends!

To the 298 dedicated reunion gift volunteers in the classes of 2s and 7s, you deserved every celebratory moment of recognition. Your hard work led to a cumulative total of $56.7 million in new money since last fall and seven reunion gift totals placing in the top ten records. One class, 1957, reached two special milestones at their 65th reunion. I hope you read their story below.

We are so grateful to all the volunteers who served on reunion gift committees this year. And of course, as we celebrate the achievements of the 2s and 7s, planning is underway for the 3s and 8s. If you would like to be a part of your upcoming reunion gift campaign, I want to hear from you!

Welcome Back to New Haven for reunion weekends

With three historic reunion weekends, it was a spring like none other. In case you missed it, rekindle your reunion memories by visiting the Yale Alumni Association website, where you can browse the digital scrapbooks and view the photo contest winners. Next year, we look forward to hosting classes ending with 3 and 8 on May 25-28 and June 1-4!

The Class of 1957 Celebrates Its 65th Reunion and Music Education

65th Reunion co-chairs with President Salovey

Yale College’s Class of 1957 has a storied place in the university’s history. During their four years on campus they participated in the first-ever bladderball game, and numerous members of the class helped the Bulldog football squad in a stunning upset over the nationally ranked Army team in 1955. Since graduating, the Class of 1957 has provided tremendous support for Yale and the city of New Haven. Read more.....

It’s not often that two Yale College classes celebrate their five-year reunions on the same weekend. Rarer still is when they both manage to shatter the same fundraising record.
