The Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, in collaboration with the Georgia Primary Care Association, hosted its annual 2023 Summer Family Medicine Weekend on June 8-11 on the Isle of Palms, SC. Attendees flocked to the beach for excellent CME, camaraderie, and industry networking. Wild Dunes Resort also proved to be the perfect backdrop to the meeting, providing a variety of activities and amenities, plus gorgeous views, all along the coast of South Carolina.

| Houston Healthcare Pledges $25,000 to Middle Georgia Tar Wars Strike Force |
Houston Healthcare has partnered with the Georgia Healthy Family Alliance in support of the Middle Georgia Tar Wars Strike Force, an anti-tobacco, anti-vaping youth education and prevention program. On Thursday, June 15, Houston Healthcare pledged a five-year, $25,000 gift to GHFA with President and CEO Charles Briscoe presenting the ceremonial big check to Dr. Monique Davis-Smith, the co-chair for the Middle Georgia Tar Wars Strike Force.
