Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and the Law Enforcement Torch Run® are teaming up to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Oklahoma.
Officers from law enforcement departments around the state will participate in the annual Cops on Doughnut Shops at Krispy Kreme locations in Oklahoma. This event is coordinated by the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Oklahoma. Our goal is for every agency in the area to participate and to promote the involvement of law enforcement in our community.
This event not only raises money for Special Olympics Oklahoma, but also helps promote community policing. During this event, agencies display squad cars, motorcycles, police hot rods, rollover simulators, mounted patrols, bomb trucks, R.V.s, and just about any cool law enforcement gadget an agency has. Officers have also distributed stickers and other community policing pamphlets while interacting with the public in a positive light. We would also love to include any other community involvement programs that your agency would like to promote. This event is a great opportunity to be seen in a positive light and almost all of the media from TV, newspaper, radio, etc… cover this event.
