| COBA Lecture Halls Dedication
|
The University of New Orleans recognized the longstanding support from four of its alumni on Tuesday, May 9th with the dedication of the Philip J. Gunn Accounting Lecture Hall and the Thomas M. and Constance P. Kitchen Lecture Hall in Kirschman Hall, home of the College of Business Administration.
The celebration included the unveiling of plaques that will hang on the walls in recognition of the leadership and generosity of Philip Gunn and Jeanne Turner and Tom and Constance Kitchen.

COBA Students Attend Breakbulk23 Conference
|
The Breakbulk and Project Cargo Conference, “Breakbulk23,” is a senior-level conference for the breakbulk and project cargo shipping and logistics community. Five COBA students and two Supply Chain, Operations and Logistics faculty members, Dr. Woohyun Cho and Dr. Hao Su, attended "Breakbulk Academy." This academy is a series of educational meetings for students where they have the opportunity for Industry Introductions where the students can directly talk to the industry professionals and build their business network.

| Assistant Deans Attend AACSB Conference
|
Assistant Deans Enjilee Dunn and Aundrea Kloor attended the AACSB International Conference and Annual Meeting in Chicago. Both attended seminars on current business school issues and societal impact. Societal impact is a new requirement for Colleges of Business Administration and will be a required part of COBA’s next accreditation visit in three years.

Dr. Hamed Ghahremani: March UNO Service With Jazz Winner
|
Dr. Hamed Ghahremani was selected as the UNO March Service with Jazz winner. Students had a surprise celebration in class. Congratulations Dr. Hamed!
His students had wonderful things to say about Hamed:

Dr. Elyria Kemp Hosted Guest Speaker From FSC Interactive

Lauren Grace Evans, account director at FSC Interactive, delivered a very informative discussion on digital marketing to the University of New Orleans MBAs recently. Lauren’s passion for connecting brands with their target audiences was apparent, and her knowledge of the ever-evolving digital landscape is very impressive. Many thanks to the FSC Interactive team for its continued support of the University of New Orleans!

Russell E. Gahagan, III '91 has joined Rev Federal Credit Union as chief financial officer. He has more than 25 years of financial industry experience and is a certified public accountant. Previously, he was senior vice president for finance and corporate treasury at b1BANK in Baton Rouge, La. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Louisiana and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans.
