The South African Consulate in Hong Kong has commended three SA tea brands that are being showcased at the International Tea Fair in Hong Kong. The festival, which ended on Saturday, is an annual event organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

At this year’s fair participating countries include China, India, Japan, Sri Lanka and South Africa.

Rooibos is being exhibited at the South African Consulate booth at the trade show. It is expected that more than 20 000 people will attend the event. 

Stella Sigcau, who deals with political and economic affairs within the SA Consulate in Hong Kong mentioned that Rooibos is gaining growing popularity in China, including Hong Kong and they are excited to showcase Rooibos to even more potential markets.

Afrodeutsche, born Henrietta Smith-Rolla, is a British-born composer, producer, and DJ based in Manchester. In a recent interview with Dazed, the celeb mentioned that tea is her love language.

The interviewer asked her which tea she enjoyed the most. Her answer was that she recently discovered Rooibos and that it has become her favourite tea. In particular, she really enjoys Rooibos chai tea.

Elle Macpherson has recently shared exciting news on her Instagram account. The Australian model and businesswoman has announced that she will be releasing a book titled “Elle” soon. In the book, Elle shares a range of life lessons and personal stories that have helped shaped her life and career.

In the book, Elle also elaborates on her daily routine. An ‘essential’ part of Elle’s day and to beat the afternoon slump is performing an East Asian tea ceremony. Her favourites include Rooibos tea with vanilla!

Dozens of Berkshire food and beverage companies have bagged the ultimate award of the calendar year in the Great Taste Awards 2024. One such company has received a one-star award for their Rooibos tea product.

Dragonfly Organic Rooibos Tea received the Great Taste star. The brand is owned by Tea Times Trading Ltd - the same company that owns the popular UK tea brand, Tick Tock.
