Boost Your Teaching Expertise With the NFTEP Program
Full-time faculty members in their first or second year at Miami are invited to join the CTE’s New Faculty Teaching Enhancement Program (NFTEP) in fall 2023. Develop relationships with colleagues, learn innovative teaching strategies, access a wealth of resources, and get professional development funds! Enroll by September 1.

Temporary Changes
to CTE Grants
Major Teaching Grants are temporarily suspended. The CTE Senate Committee, which adjudicates teaching innovation grants, will not meet pending faculty and librarian contract negotiations. Minor Teaching Grants are still available to graduate students and staff who teach and are seeking funding to support teaching innovation.
Generative AI Updates
  • Planning for fall courses has generated many questions about Generative AI as it pertains to Academic Integrity here at Miami (e.g., syllabus language, policy issues). Check out this valuable resource from our partner, Brenda Quaye, Assistant Director for Academic Integrity.
  • The CTE’s set of resources on Incorporating ChatGPT Into Your Teaching supports assignment development using ChatGPT as a teaching and learning tool.
