Parents Roundtable Discussions
with Duncan Laird, LICSW

We are pleased to be once again offering parents the opportunity to meet with The Academy's psychological consultant, Duncan Laird, LICSW.  Duncan will cover important points about the developmental stage of students in the grade levels indicated, as well as address any questions or concerns that parents might have.  We are seeking an alternative location in which to hold these evenings, with the hope that a space more central to the majority of parents will enable more to attend.  Please contact Nora Bates Zale with questions, concerns, or ideas for alternative locations. The dates and times of these nights are as follows:

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1
7:00 PM- 7th & 8th Grade Parents

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5
7:00 PM-
9th & 10th Grade Parents

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3

ACADEMY PARENTS COUNCIL UPDATES
:

Academy Parents Council:
Wednesday, September 30
6:30 PM

The Academy Parents Council invites you to a planning meeting for the year ahead. Please take a moment to read the agenda. We will gather at the home of the O'Brien's (P'17, P'21). All are invited and encouraged to attend! We welcome you to get involved, even if you can't make it! For more information or additional details, please contact APC Co-Chairs Phobe Walker or Katie Boyd.

Cornucopia Auction & Social
Saturday, November 7
5:00 PM
Please take out the donation form you got in your red folder at Registration and think about what your family could contribute toward the auction. Do you make great peanut brittle? One grad donated a package of it every year while he was here. Is there a restaurant that you eat at regularly that you'd be willing to support by offering a gift certificate so others can enjoy it, too? Do you want to host a mushroom identification walk or have a summer house to auction off for a weekend?

Columbus Day Weekend
Pie Sale

If you have not already signed up and would like to bake a pie (or three) for our sale at the Ashfield Fall Festival, please contact Diane Bigelow, and pick up free pie tins at your student's Parent Night. Want to hang out with your Academy parent friends AND bake? Why not host a pie baking bee at your house? Let us know if you decide to organize a get together!
