Reminders & Highlights

RVR Community Ratifies 2023 Budget
At December’s monthly meeting, the RVR Master Association Board announced the community has formally ratified the 2023 budget.
Following the Board’s unanimous approval of the budget at the November Board Meeting, homeowners had the next step — voting on the budget as part of the ratification process. According to our governing documents, two-thirds of RVR’s 552 property owners (368) would have to vote no to reject the budget; if that didn’t happen, the budget is automatically ratified. Of the 129 homeowners who voted on the budget ratification, 100 were in favor of the budget, while 27 opposed it and two homeowners abstained. That means the budget is ratified, and goes into effect on January 1, 2023.
RVR Property Owners who mail their payment will be receiving notification from our Accounting Department over the next week about what their monthly dues will be, starting in January. Those owners who are on auto-pay will automatically have their payment adjusted. If you want to see what your dues will be next year, click here to view the “Dues by Neighborhood Matrix."
Green Tip
Please enjoy the following eco-friendly tidbit brought to you by Friends of the Environment:
In spite of your good intentions, you're down to the wire and decide to give a holiday gift card. Gift cards can be a handy and popular choice. But most of the billions of gift cards sold every year are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and PVC in this form is very difficult to recycle. Rather than support companies whose cards are made from this single use plastic, choose cards made from paper or cardboard which can be easily recycled. Better yet, choose the most sustainable option, an electronic gift card with zero waste.
New Homeowner Listening Session
There will be a new homeowner listening session at the Ranch House on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 5:15 p.m. hosted by the Long Range Planning Committee. RVR resident Robin Boyar, market research and strategy consultant, volunteered to lead the discussion.
*Stay tuned for more opportunities to participate in future listening sessions!

Fitness

New Fitness Class
Yogalates:
Join us for yogalates on Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m.: A focused, peaceful, aligned, restorative, core-supported, stretching, lengthening, balancing regular movement practice is a ritual we were designed to have and practice with others.
Anthony's Instructor Bio:
I began dancing Ballet and performing at age seven. This training supported movement interests in football, gymnastics, volleyball, surfing, bodysurfing, skimboarding, skateboarding and eventually led to moving to NYC and a career as a professional dancer with Ballet Pacifica in Laguna Beach and other companies in San Luis Obispo where I earned a degree in English literature. Upon relocation to the RFV in 1998 after traveling throughout Asia, the South Pacific, Australia, Tasmania, and NZ, I continued dancing and performing with Aspen Ballet, became a pupil of yoga and Pilates and eventually rolled out Coredination Movement Studio in 2004 and Bonedale Ballet and Bonedale Flashmob. Here, I taught dance for Toddlers, Creative Dance, teen and adult Ballet, Pilates, Yoga as a certified instructor with yoga alliance and choreographed and danced in numerous Pas De deux, full length ballets, performed Jazz, Modern, Tango, Ballet, as a guest artist throughout the valley. I taught Pilates and Yoga for several years at Aspen Glen, CMC and River Valley Ranch and am excited to be back teaching at RVR and working with students to impart my passion for movement and help one and all achieve their highest goals with attention, support, and humor.
