National Sheep Dog Finals | Volunteers Needed! |
The National Sheepdog Finals have been a great success in the past years as the participants love to come to Strang Ranch and Carbondale during our lovely Autumn in the Roaring Fork Valley. Part of the success has been the willingness of the Roaring Fork Valley folks to volunteer. It takes a village or valley to host this large of event!

Green Tip | Labor Day Celebrations |
Planning to get together with friends and family for Labor Day? Consider how to make your celebration more sustainable. Plastic plates, cups, and silverware are convenient, but they get thrown away after just one use. Instead have reusable plates, cutlery, and drinkware. Use festive napkins that can be washed and reused. You could make your party BYOC (bring your own cup) and ask your guests to come prepared with a reusable cup from home. Reuse decorations from other cheerful occasions. Also, buy only as much as you need and choose products that come in packaging that can be recycled. Dispose of waste properly and compost your food scraps. So enjoy going Green this Labor Day.

Electric bikes are very popular and we are seeing more and more of them around the neighborhood. If this is your favorite method of transportation throughout RVR, we ask that you please exercise caution and follow the rules of the road. Wearing a helmet is always a good idea. There are plenty of opportunities for your electric bike to shine outside of the neighborhood, keep your speed in check and always follow the posted speed limit.

E - bikes are popular with many, ages young and old. Please be sure to share this information to your children as well!
