As you start on this exciting journey, know that you are now part of a tradition of excellence, leadership, and selfless service. Student Life's New Student and Family Programs office is here to support you every step of the way.
Your New Student Conference (NSC) will be an invaluable experience, preparing you for your first semester at Texas A&M. At your NSC, you'll meet fellow Aggies, learn about campus resources, receive academic advising, and register for classes, all while getting a feel for the incredible spirit that makes Texas A&M unique.
What is the NSC?
Your NSC is a mandatory orientation program designed to prepare you for a successful start at Texas A&M. Through sessions hosted by campus departments and your academic unit, you'll be introduced to resources, participate in activities, and complete course registration. Learn more about the NSC and what to expect.
Communication:
Keep an eye on your email! You will begin receiving communication from our office and your academic unit with important information about your NSC. Communication will go to either your Texas A&M Gmail or the personal email you used with your application, so it is important to check both regularly.
Two weeks before your NSC, you will receive information on preparing for your conference, logistics (parking, guest registration, dining, etc.), and common registration holds you might need to resolve. Two days before your NSC, we will send your schedule, parking reminders, and check-in information.
During this time, you will also receive information from your academic unit regarding academic advising and course registration. In addition, if you have holds that will prevent registration, you will receive reminders to resolve them before your NSC.
Who to contact?
If at any time you have questions about the NSC, reach out to our office by phone (979.845.5826), email (nsfp@tamu.edu ), or text (979.256.1311).
We are excited to welcome you to Texas A&M and help start your journey as an Aggie!
Thanks and Gig 'em!
