Educator Update
Hello 4-H Families,
I hope everyone is having a great start to their school year. Being a former classroom teacher, I understand how busy this time of year can be. I hope you all can find time to relax and enjoy the end of summer.
September also marks the start of the new 4-H year. All members and volunteers need to re-enroll on 4honline by November 1st. Volunteers will have one or two refresher trainings they will need to complete as well. Please note that you are not an approved volunteer and cannot work with youth in any capacity until you have re-enrolled and your trainings are complete.
This month's newsletter has two opportunities to learn more about 4-H. I will be hosting a New Family Zoom meeting on October 17th where I will go into detail about the program and answer some common questions. We are also putting together a Project Discovery Day on November 2nd. Members of all ages can come and try out some of the 4-H projects to see what they might want to do this year. Both events are open to non-members who would like to learn more about 4-H, so spread the word!
Finally, there are a few upcoming state trips and experiences that are highlighted this month. The Leaders Council has increased their trip funding amount to 25%, so please consider participating in one of these events.
