COVID-19 UPDATES
  • Masks are welcome but optional at the UO with some exceptions. Masks are still required in health care settings and the Vivian Olum Child Development Center.
  • Spring classes are primarily in person and regular attendance is expected. The Tutoring and Academic Engagement Center has expanded offerings to help students.
  • COVID-19 test results are no longer required for UO event entry including athletic events. More information is available on the Coronavirus Resources Regulations webpage. 
  • Free COVID-19 testing is available on campus through UO's Monitoring and Assessment Program (MAP).
  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, and make sure to upload your vaccination status, including your booster shot information on myUOHealth.
  • If you test positive for COVID-19, develop symptoms or are exposed to the virus, reference the exposure scenarios webpage for guidance on next steps
UO EVENTS
  • April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The UO will offer various events throughout the month aimed to support survivors and foster healthy relationships.
  • Graduate students are invited to showcase their research and creative work at the upcoming Graduate Research Forum. Proposals are due Sunday, April 10.
  • Explore remote landscapes and mountain cultures at the Banff Mountain Film Festival Tuesday, April 19, 6:00–10:00 p.m. at the McDonald Theatre. Tickets on sale now!
  • Learn about graduate schools and academic programs at the Health Professions Graduate School Fair Wednesday, April 20, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. in the EMU Ballroom.
  • Join the Student Sustainability Center for the Earth Day of Service Saturday, April 23, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. to make a positive impact on our environment. Registration required.
NOTEWORTHY
  • Start the spring term off right. Meet with a Peer Academic Coach to complete your term planner and discuss strategies to tackle the weeks ahead. 
  • The deadline has been extended to nominate an outstanding student for Student Life Honors and Awards. The submission deadline is now Monday, April 4, at noon.
  • Nominate an instructor who exemplifies excellence in universal design for the Faculty Excellence in Universal Design Award. The nomination deadline is Sunday, April 24.
TALKS AND WORKSHOPS
  • Go over the basics of budgeting at the Budgeting 101 Interactive Workshop Tuesday, April 5, 4:00–5:00 p.m. in the EMU Lease Crutcher Lewis Room.
  • Learn how to structure resumes and cover letters at the virtual Resumes and Cover Letters workshop Wednesday, April 6, 1:00–2:00 p.m. Register on Handshake.
  • Engage your career curiosity with workshops and networking during the Career Readiness Get Curious week-long events beginning Friday, April 8.
