Reminder – Phase 1 website launch Tuesday |

The website redesign project team is still on schedule to launch Phase 1 on Tuesday, June 11. This will feature 2,200+ university-wide pages (e.g., homepage, About, Locations, Our History), enrollment-focused pages (e.g., Student Life, Visit, Admissions), and about 80 academic program pages.
After June 11, Phase 2 of the project will entail a staggered rollout of all remaining webpages, from colleges and academic departments to centers, institutes and administrative units. This phase will run for several months.
How to submit edits immediately following June 11
Following the June 11 launch of Phase 1 until we are able to train all content editors on the new content management system (CMS), employees should submit requests for web edits in the following manner. There will be two kinds of edit requests — urgent and normal — managed through different processes.

Urgent edits include any inaccurate content related to academic programs that could mislead current students or prospective students in their decision-making process. It also includes content that does not accurately reflect the legal standing of the university or the accreditation standing of our colleges or academic programs. Urgent changes should be submitted via e-mail to webcomm@radford.edu after June 11.
- Normal edits include any other content edits that do not meet the urgent standard stated above. Normal changes should be submitted via a Get Help ticket on IT OneStop after June 11.

As with any launch of a new website design and a new CMS, we will undoubtedly experience issues that need to be addressed in the days after the launch. As we identify these, we will work as efficiently as possible to fix them. Thank you in advance for your patience in the days following the Phase 1 launch.

Alumni in action: volunteers needed |

The Office of Alumni Relations Roanoke Alumni Chapter will volunteer at Feeding Southwest Virginia to sort donated food items at its warehouse on Friday, June 14, from 1-4 p.m. The Salem Distribution Center is located at 1025 Electric Road, Salem, Virginia.

- Wear closed-toe shoes
- Dress in comfortable layers
- Must be 16 years or older
- Must be able to safely lift 35 pounds

The inaugural Radford Community Fest will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Main Street between Tyler Avenue and Third Avenue.
Students, families, community members and visitors are invited to join us for a day of live music, entertainment, vendors, food trucks, a beer garden and a kids zone play area.
Traffic will be redirected during this time. Radford Community Fest is free to attend. Food, drinks and crafts are available for purchase.
Vendors are invited to secure a space at the Radford Community Fest by purchasing a tent spot through the university ticket hub. There are 70 available spots. Vendors may bring their own tents, tables and chairs to build the 10-foot by 10-foot space. Limited spots offer power as well.
