Penguin Problems by Jory John

"Looking for a good read for your 3-7 year-old during our storytime hiatus? A penguin with many problems kvetches his way throughout this book: 'My beak is cold,' 'The ocean smells too salty today,' 'I waddle too much.' Finally, a walrus advises him to look around and appreciate what is around him. Penguin briefly sits down and focuses on what he likes. At the end, though, his beak is still cold. Cute and funny art and a very relatable penguin."

--Ann, Collection Development

Overheard at the library
A teen asked, "Can I sign up for the summer thing?" After sign up, I took him to pick out his free book for registering. He covered his mouth with his hand, saying, "No way! I get one of these books? No way!" He was so happy!
