The Associated Students’ big event known as “Big Show” brought Galantis to CSUN this month for a giant dance party on the University Library Lawn. Check out the photos of this beloved tradition that brings music festival vibes to campus.

CSUN’s Armenian Studies Program unveiled a new room in Sierra Tower honoring lifelong teacher and cultural advocate Zaruhy Sara Chitjian and her parents. The dedication highlights the Chitjian family’s remarkable journey—from surviving the Armenian Genocide to building new lives in Mexico and Los Angeles—through letters, photos and artifacts that illuminate Armenian history and resilience.

The CSUN-chartered center that has helped students and Valley residents affected by violence, sexual abuse and trauma has opened a new office in the city of San Fernando. The new center brings therapy and prevention programs directly to the neighborhood where many families live, work and heal.

Grammy Award-winner Carlos Miguel Prieto conducts the flagship orchestra from the Colburn Conservatory of Music. Prieto, a champion of new music and music education, has chosen a program that highlights the talents of the next generation of classical musicians.

"Rooted and Rising: Revitalizing Africana Studies" is the theme of this year’s celebration of the department's 56 years on campus. Events kick off Friday, Oct. 31, with the 4th annual ceremony marking the dedication of the plaque honoring the department’s founding faculty and continue through the following week.
