- Looking to add some colors and joy to your calendar? GVSU Arts Celebration is here for you, with free events throughout the school year! Right now, there is a contemporary art exhibition in Allendale until November 4, as well as a performance by the South Chicago Dance Theatre soon after. - Are you interested in adding an international experience to your education? Consider checking out the Fall 2022 Study Abroad Fair on October 18. It will be located in the Grand River Room of Kirkhof Center, Allendale. For more details, as well as to RSVP, visit the Padnos International Center's website.
- We are approaching the midway point of the semester. The leaves are starting to fall, but your hard work is not! A much-needed Fall Break is arriving soon, October 23-25. Hang in there, Lakers!
- The 2022 Midterm Election is just one month away, November 8. Are you registered to vote? Grand Valley encourages everyone to be an engaged Laker. Even if you are not eligible to vote, there are still other ways to get involved, such as volunteering or becoming informed about current news! For more information about voting and other engagement opportunities, check out the Office of Student Life's website.
- The 10th Teach-In, entitled Power, Priviledge, and Difficult Dialogues, is taking place on November 9 at the Pew Campus, and November 10 in Allendale. This is a place where students can become the educators, while faculty and staff can become the learners. Learn about the concerns facing our community, identities and expressions, social justice, and more! - Last, but not least, we would like to celebrate Maggie Carey, from the Master of Public Health program! She had the opportunity to present her research on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), co-authored by Dr. Julia Vandermolen, at the 2022 Michigan Autism Conference.
