NAM wins two statewide awards from TNSAE
The Nashville Academy of Medicine claimed two of the eleven awards presented by the Tennessee Society of Association Executives in July. These awards are presented annually to associations throughout Tennessee. All other winners were statewide associations, and we were the only local association honored. 
1. Best Website 
www.NashvilleMedicine.org was recognized as the most outstanding website.  The NAM website redesign in 2015 was the start of a community awareness effort to show our members and the community that we are current and engaged.  The website was designed to drive membership, increase engagement and serve our stakeholders better. 
2. Special Event
Project Access Nashville Specialty Care celebrated 10 years of service to our community, and we held a celebration event last October.  Through the event, we were able to reach a total of 5,372 people. This was an incredible outreach to raise awareness for our program and also show the community the great work and generosity of our volunteer physicians and partners. Learn more about the event here.

NAM Board of Directors
This appointment would be for a three year term lasting 2017 - 2019.

The NAM Board of Directors serves as an advisory group that oversees the activities of the Academy. The Board's primary role is to ensure that the Academy's mission is being upheld and to oversee implementation of our strategic plan. The time commitment is minimal, and does not interfere with your practice, typically meeting 6-10 times per year on Tuesday night for one-two hours. 

2017 Delegate to the TMA
NAM delegates will meet in the spring before the Annual House of Delegates meeting.  Delegates will need to attend the House of Delegates meeting on April 29, 2017.

IMPACT is hosting a fundraiser for our member, Senator Steve Dickerson, MD, on Thursday, August 18.
In one week, doctors from around Middle Tennessee will gather at a reception to support Nashville Academy member and state senator, Dr. Steve Dickerson.  Learn more here.
