2017 National Health Care for the Homeless Conference & Policy Symposium
Please join us on June 21, 2017, in Washington, D.C., for the 2017 Medical Respite Pre-Conference Institute! As the preeminent national voice on medical respite care, the Respite Care Providers’ Network (RCPN) Steering Committee has organized the full-day institute to examine current and emerging issues in the field. Diverse speakers will facilitate this year’s institute, which will include panels, presentations, and interactive discussions of interest to both clinicians and administrators. National experts will share best practices and innovative ideas on building your medical respite program, responding to clients in challenging circumstances, and increasing access to medical respite care in every community. Additionally, we will provide information on the finalized standards for medical respite care, available technical assistance resources, and policy implications for medical respite care. Participants will be able to share information and network with providers from across the country. Registration for the Pre-Conference Institute and the full 2017 National Health Care for the Homeless Conference & Policy Symposium is now open.

Joseph is one of many clients of Health Care for the Homeless clinics who is now insured thanks to Medicaid expansion. However, the future of the Affordable Care Act remains unclear, and this uncertainty is causing anxiety for patients and staff at clinics nationwide. Read the full article on NPR's website.
