Dear Future Fulbrighter,
Welcome to our final Future Fulbrighter email for the 2021-2022 cycle!
As we head into summer, please review our campus process and don't hesitate to reach out with questions. ONIF is open throughout the summer, including the remainder of May.
LMU's first campus checkpoint is June 1. By this date, we ask that you submit your intent-to-apply form. If you are still torn between two or three grants, that's okay! Submit the form anyway.
After you submit your intent-to-apply, I will enroll you in a self-paced Brightspace (free) course, depending on your grant type. Note: LMU alumni will access the course through their personal email addresses. This course will contain tutorial videos and optional exercises to help you improve your Fulbright application.
Additionally, ONIF will host six essay workshops throughout the summer. You are expected to attend at least one of these online workshops. Applicants are also strongly encouraged to utilize LMU's Writing Center before our campus deadline of August 31.
Whatever your takeaway from this email, remember that you are not alone in this process! The most successful candidates utilize multiple resources to craft a competitive application.
Continue to explore the Fulbright website and contact ONIF with any questions.
Best,
Cassidy Alvarado
Director of ONIF
