Boren Awards fund U.S. undergrads and grad students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests. AAUW Fellowships for International Graduate Students- Deadline: November 15! International Fellowships are awarded (up to $30,000) for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Both graduate and postgraduate studies at accredited U.S. institutions are supported.
*NEW AWARD* Patti Grace Smith Fellowship- Deadline: November 15! The program provides extraordinary Black students with their first work experience in the aerospace industry, personalized mentorship, and a cohort of similarly driven and talented young Black people pursuing aerospace careers. We know you’re just getting started — so we’ve designed an application process that doesn’t assume you’ll have a giant resume and a loaded school transcript already. Open to Black or African-American freshmen or sophomores interested in their seeking their first job/internship in the aerospace industry. Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship for young Hispanic Leaders- Deadline: November 30! Recipients will receive a non-renewable scholarship of $1,000. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time undergraduate students, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories, and demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support. At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or Undocumented). Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students for the Fall 2021 – Spring 2022 academic year.
Joseph A. O’Hare, S.J., Postgraduate Media Fellowship- Deadline: November 30. The O'Hare Fellowship supports the next generation of content producers for the Catholic media and other forms of professional journalism. The fellowship offers three recent graduates the opportunity to develop their media skills and professional relationships while living and working in the capital of global communications, New York City. O’Hare fellows spend one full year working at the offices of America Media, where they will generate content for America’s multiple platforms: print, web, digital, social media and events. The Yenching Academy of Peking University- Deadline: December 6! Yenching Academy aims to build bridges between China and the rest of the world through a fully-funded, interdisciplinary master's program in China Studies. The Yenching Academy provides fellowships to its scholars,(including room & board, tuition, and travel costs) and offers a wide array of interdisciplinary courses on China within broadly defined fields of the humanities and social sciences. Working closely with their academic mentors, Yenching Scholars create their own study paths by choosing courses from six research areas. Contact ONIF for more information.
Blakemore Freeman Fellowships- Deadline: December 30. Blakemore Freeman Fellowships are awarded for one academic year of full-time, intensive language study of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Khmer or Burmese at the advanced level in approved language programs in East or Southeast Asia. Applicants must be American citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Superior candidates pursuing careers in fields such as academia, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), environmental studies, international business, accounting, law, medicine, journalism, architecture, teaching, social or NGO work, and government service are encouraged to apply. A senior in college who will receive an undergraduate degree before the start date of the language program may apply.

Tory Burch Foundation Fellowship Program- November 12! A year-long program to help you lead, grow and scale your business. Fellows receive virtual education, workshops and intensives to grow your business; Premier Peer Network, an online community where you can connect and share ideas' a $5,000 Grant to advance your business education; a trip to the Tory Burch Offices for workshops and networking with your community of Fellows! Eligibility: A woman-identifying entrepreneur who owns either a majority stake (51% or more) in a qualifying business – or – the largest or equal stake in a qualifying business that is 100% owned and controlled by women, 21 years or older as of the application due date (November 12, 2020), proficient in English, and a legal resident of the US. Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program- Deadline: November 13! A highly selective internship and mentorship program that provides extraordinary summer opportunities to current college juniors, seniors, and graduate students passionate about commercial spaceflight
**NEW AWARD** Innovation in Buildings (IBUILD) Graduate Research Fellowship- Deadline: December 1. A new program managed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the fellowship will strengthen the pool of well-trained, diverse MS and PhD scholars who are equipped for research-intensive building technologies careers across all sectors. IBUILD Fellows will receive research and educational support (over $60,000 annually) to conduct innovative research at their home institution in an area with demonstrated relevance to building energy efficiency. In addition to funding high-quality research, the fellowship will provide professional development, mentoring, networking, and support for internship opportunities.
School of Education
AAUW Career Development Grants- Deadline: November 15! Career Development Grants provide funding to women who hold a bachelor’s degree and are preparing to advance or change careers or re-enter the workforce in education, health and medical sciences, or social sciences. Primary consideration is given to women of color and women pursuing their first advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents whose last degree was received before June 30, 2013. Funds of up to $12,000 are available for tuition, fees, books, supplies, local transportation and dependent care.
