Note from the NHCHC team: This edition of The Consumer Voice was slated to publish Dec. 20, 2024, but did not go out that day as planned. We sincerely apologize for the delay!
The latest edition of the National Consumer Advisory Board’s newsletter, The Consumer Voice, marks the somber annual observance of Homeless Persons' Memorial Day, when we'll remember the lives lost on the streets and resolve to fight like hell for the living.
Registration is officially open for the 2025 National Health Care for the Homeless Conference & Policy Symposium! Join us in Baltimore May 12-15, 2025, to explore the theme Building Communities. Hundreds of the country's most passionate providers, researchers, and advocates in the Health Care for the Homeless field will convene to share promising practices, models, and examples of leadership that are driving our movement forward. Learn more and register here!
Coming Soon: Call for Nominations
Be on the lookout this month for another email from the Council when we open up nominations for our steering committees, Board of Directors, and annual service awards, including the Ellen Dailey Consumer Advocate Award. (Learn about last year's award recipients here.)
We invite you over the coming weeks to give the nominations some thought and consider who in your networks would be a strong nominee for any of the roles or honors mentioned above. Self-nomination is acceptable and encouraged — we want to hear from you!
