The APAICS Congressional Fellowship- Deadline: February 10! Designed for young AAPI professionals looking to increase their experience in public policy and service. The full-time, paid, 9-month program, places fellows across House and Senate offices, committees, and leadership offices. Fellows must have completed their undergraduate degree or have at least five years of public service experience prior to the program start date. They must be US citizens, lawful permanent residents, DACA with an Employment Authorization Document, or individuals who are legally authorized to work full-time without restriction for any US employer and who possess lawful evidence of employment authorization.

OECD Young Associates Programm- Deadline: February 19! The Young Associates Programme is a two-year programme for recent undergraduates who wish to gain a first professional experience in the world of multilateral policy-making, research and analysis. It is designed to act as a springboard for them to future postgraduate study. To be eligible, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with graduation date between January 2022 and September 2023 in the academic field related to the position(s) of interest, hold a nationality of an OECD Member country, have a GPA of 3.0+, have fluency in English or French and a commitment to reach a good working level of the other after joining the OECD. Applications from candidates who already hold or are enrolled in a Master’s, PhD, or equivalent degree are not considered.

Toshizo Watanabe Study Abroad Scholarship Program- Deadline: February 20! Financial assistance of up to $25,000 to students for a semester or year-long study abroad program in Japan. Candidates should be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need for international study. Candidates are preferred who have been raised by a single parent or who have lost both parents, who do not have significant international travel or study abroad experience, and/or who are the first in the family to attend or graduate from college. Open now for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 programs.

University of Virginia Bridge to the Doctorate Fellows- Deadline: March 1! Our bridge program provides two full years of fellowship support without teaching responsibilities for students to enroll in a combination of courses, guided research opportunities and UVA’s intensive graduate student professional development curriculum known as “PhD Plus.” Each bridge fellow will work individually with faculty to develop a customized academic plan that will identify opportunities for additional disciplinary training, enable them to cultivate writing and research skills specific to their field, and develop a competitive portfolio for applying to doctoral programs. Bridge fellows will have the opportunity to complete a graduate certificate or master’s degree. Qualified students will be considered for promotion into UVA’s own doctoral programs after the first or second year.

Fern Holland International Affairs Summer 2022 Fellowship Program- Deadline: March 10. The Office of Congressman Seth Moulton seeks students interested in foreign policy and national security to participate in a full-time, paid foreign policy fellowship. This opportunity is based on financial need and only open to candidates who are Pell-grant eligible. The fellowship is in the DC office. Current undergraduates, recent college graduates, and graduate students are eligible. This fully-funded fellowship covers the cost of housing, transportation, and food with a stipend. Fellows will be expected to perform rigorous research, advise senior staff and the Congressman on important issues, and craft policies in international affairs and national security, in addition to some regularly assigned intern responsibilities.

The Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service- Deadline: March 22. Designed for students entering their junior year of college in the US who are passionate about contributing to the public good and would benefit from support, connections, and life experiences to help them succeed. The Voyager Scholarship provides students with financial aid, access to travel experiences, and a network of mentors to support them. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0+, demonstrate a commitment to public service, plan to pursue a career in public service upon graduation, and be a US citizen, holder of a Permanent Resident Card, or an individual granted deferred action status under DACA. Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program- Deadline: March 31. Each year, the program awards $10,000 to 200 recipients studying engineering or computer science at a 4-year college or university. Recipients may renew the scholarship up to three times for a total potential value of $40,000 per student. Open to U.S. citizens majoring in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics. Must also demonstrate financial need and be willing to consider a paid internship with Lockheed Martin following their freshman, sophomore, or junior year of college.

The Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting- Early Fee Deadline: March 1! Writing Submission Deadline: May 2. An international screenwriting competition was established to identify and encourage talented new screenwriters. Each year, the Academy Nicholl screenwriting competition awards up to five $35,000 fellowships to amateur screenwriters. Early entry fee of $50 on March 2 or regular deadline entry fee of $65 on April 3, or late deadline entry fee of $90 on May 2. Writers must create an account at the Nicholl website to enter the competition. PDF scripts must be uploaded and all other requirements met no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on May 1, 2023.

This program has provided a unique University-based leadership experience and program in international cooperation. Students attending U.S. institutions will join students from a variety of developing countries and regions of social strife to learn from experts and one another about conflict resolution and social entrepreneurship. Fellows receive hands-on training in team-building, public speaking, negotiation, mediation and working together to solve international problems. Learn more.
