29% increase in moderate to vigorous P.E. after implementing CATCH in Los Fresnos
Data has started rolling in from schools in Los Fresnos, TX, where CATCH was implemented last year in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. Los Fresnos has been going strong all year, and now we have results to prove it! Click here to read the full article on our blog.
Enrolling Individuals for CATCH Kids Club "Open Academy" in Austin, TX Aug 3-5.
If you or your afterschool program is in need of a training but does not have the funds and/or enough people to host a training in your hometown, come visit us in Austin on August 3-5! Update on Sun Safety Curriculum
Schools across the country are already making use of Ray and the Sunbeatables™: A Sun Safety Curriculum for Preschoolers, developed by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. This week, CATCH shipped more Blue Lizard Sunscreen to the communities using Sunbeatables™, serving thousands of children nationwide. Below is a video sent to us by one of our communities, a YMCA in DeKalb, IL affiliated with the KishHealth System, of their children learning about sun safety.

CATCH Master Trainer John Krampitz traveled to Chico, CA this month in order to train staff at UC CalFresh Fresno County.The UC CalFresh Youth Nutrition Education Program provides support and resources to pre-school through high school teachers in low-income schools to deliver nutrition and physical activity education in their classrooms. CATCH Champions in Oklahoma attended a workshop at the Oklahoma Institute for Coordinated Health to learn more about Coordinated School Health and the CDC's eight coordinated school health components. Read more at the Edmonson Sun's website.
