DubBot > Acquia Optimize
As shared via email last month, the university’s contract with DubBot expired on October 29. This technology was purchased as a one-time expense to explore capabilities and remediate flagged accessibility issues on our website.
Going forward, UCM and OIT will shift to the Acquia-provided accessibility scanner, which can review up to 500 pages total across Ohio University’s Drupal environment. (Acquia is the company that hosts our ohio.edu website.) Because of Acquia's 500-page limit, the new scans will focus on a smaller set of priority sites — about 10–20 pages per site. Many individual sites will not be included in this cycle.
Here’s what this means for you:
- DubBot data is no longer available.
- Acquia reports will identify accessibility issues only (no SEO, broken link, spelling checks or other types of content improvement issues).
- Everyone can still view report results in the new interface once the initial scans are complete.
Stay tuned for more information about accessing Acquia Optimize reports in early 2026.
Name Change
The Stevens Literacy Center in the Patton College of Education has a new name: Stevens Center for Literacy and STEM Education. UCM has worked with Patton College web managers to update text instances, but please be sure to use the new name in any new webpages. Stevens Center may be used as a shortened reference.
