Get Taste of Discovery Tickets

Tickets are available for Taste of Discovery but they won't last long! Purchase yours now for a night of fun and great food from restaurants like Smokin' Fins, Cranellis, Fogo de Chao, Melting Pot, Los Dos Portrillos and Del Friscos! Discounted student tickets are available in the Discovery office.

Do you have an item you'd like to donate to the Taste of Discovery silent auction? Great auction items include tickets, memorabilia, vacation homes, wines, professional services and gift baskets. Fill out this form and bring your item to Valor by Feb. 4. Thank you for your generosity!

Wish Week Announced

At Friday's community assembly, Student Leadership Board announced that Valor will participate in Wish Week the week of April 13-17. Wish Week is a national program that allows schools to partner with a family from the Make-A-Wish foundation and support them through fundraising and special events. Stay tuned for announcements about our partner family!

Register for Practicum

Following Spring Break, students enjoy an extra week off (Practicum Week) to enjoy time with family or participate in Valor's local and national experiences that include things like fly fishing, snowboarding, film, crafting, service projects, and so much more.
Explore the 25+ unique Practicum experiences today! Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Continuous Enrollment Information

You should've received an email on Thursday night with information about upcoming continuous enrollment paperwork. If you missed it, or to view more information, visit the Tuition and Enrollment webpage.
Enrollment and financial agreements will be sent out to parents via email this week.

Upcoming Modified Schedules

  • Thursday, February 13 - Students dismissed at 1:25 pm 
  • Friday, February 14 - No school, in-service day for staff and faculty
  • Monday, February 17 - No school for President's Day
  • Tuesday, February 18 - Modified schedule beginning at 10:00 am with Red block.

Faculty/Staff Appreciation

The VPA requests your help in showing appreciation to staff for all they do. They are seeking donations for two special events in February in April as well as some fun treats for Teacher Appreciation Week in May. Any amount you can contribute is appreciated!

Grandparents Day

All Grandparents or “Like a Grandparent” are invited to Valor Grandparents Day on Thursday, March 5. Grandparents will enjoy a fun and interactive program, meet and greet, lunch with their grandchild, a meet and greet reception and even attend a class at Valor!

Last Chance for Winter Dance Tickets

Night In The Movies is happening Saturday, February 1 at 8:00 pm in the small gym. Choose to dress as a famous celebrity, a movie character or a moviegoer and party with your friends. No masks or weapons, please. Tickets are now available for purchase online for $20 or $25 at the door!

ICP's for Junior Families

Thank you for attending College Night. If you were unable to join us, your student can pick up their packet from their counselor. Please watch for an email from your counselor to schedule your ICP - Individual College Planning Meeting.

High Honors for Valor Arts Student

This week, Valor student Julia Honnen was chosen to be a part of the Colorado All-State Jazz Choir after a highly selective audition process. After several rounds of tryouts, she was one of only 16 singers chosen from hundreds of auditioners.

Valor Music Award Night

Friday, January 31, 7:00-8:30 pm, Valor Center
Come enjoy a red carpet evening of student original music and awards!  Red carpet fun begins at 6:30 pm, followed by the program and reception. This is the culmination of the Songwriter Showcase Night in November. Tickets are $10 general admission.

Winter Art Show

Saturday, February 8, 6:00-9:30 pm, Valor Center
Don't miss an annual highlight for the Valor community - the Winter Art Show. This year's theme is "From Where I Stand" and features works and installations from all visual arts students throughout the entire Valor Center. Refreshments will be served and admission is free.

Boys Basketball Upsets Denver East

Last Monday, Valor Boys Basketball upset previously unbeaten #2 in the state Denver East with a score of 82-64.
