Bill McFalls Inducted as PAR's 96th President

Suburban West REALTOR member and 2010 Chairman, Bill McFalls was installed as the 2019 Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS President at the PAR Business Meetings in January.
“I do believe that we are at a critical time in our industry that requires a steady hand on the wheel, a focus that looks a few steps ahead of the next turn and a team that is willing to make the changes necessary to position us as one of the best Associations in the country,” said McFalls.
A REALTOR member with Suburban West for 28 years, Bill has been consistently active throughout his local, state and national REALTOR Associations. Bill is a current NAR Director and has served since 2015. He will serve as a regional representative for NAR's 2019 State and Local Issues Mobilizations Support Committee. Bill is a past Treasurer, Vice President, President-Elect and District 2 Vice President of PAR. He is a major RPAC investor and was recently inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame.
Congratulations Bill!

Broker Price Opinions Update

Pennsylvania passed legislation (Act 75 of 2018) that will allow Real Estate licensees to conduct Broker Price Opinions (BPOs).  Previously, BPO’s were only permitted by appraisal licensees. Before real estate licensees can perform BPOs, the state real estate commission must issue regulations and identify pre-requisite education that must be completed. Until then, performing BPO’s is not yet an approved activity for real estate licensees.

It is our understanding that the real estate commission is working on the regulations. Reference is made to the regulations in the minutes of the September and October 2018 meetings. It is our understanding that further discussion occurred at their January 2019 meeting (January 29). However, as of this notice, the regulations have not been issued. Read more.
