Build Systems Thinking and Public Health Expertise This Summer
|
The 2026 GWSPH Summer Institute offers flexible, graduate‑level short courses addressing today’s most urgent public health challenges. Participants may enroll in individual courses or participate in the full Summer Institute, with most offerings held online across May–July.
For the first time, the Institute for Socioeconomic Opportunity will offer a one‑week, one-credit hour course during the GWSPH Summer Institute. "Systems Sciences for Public Health and Public Policy" (July 13–17), will be taught by leading researchers from GW, Harvard, and Drexel, and will equip participants to use systems thinking, group model building, and simulation modeling to address complex public health and policy challenges. The course content provides practical tools for translating research into action and advancing equity‑focused solutions across disciplines.
GW employees eligible for tuition remission may apply this benefit to the ISEO course or the GWSPH Summer Institute. Registration closes on Friday, May 15.
