As part of the preparations for the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science’s “Dueling Dinosaurs” exhibit, which will open early in 2024, scientists from the museum have used a saw in NC State’s Crafts Center to trim fossils.

Make-A-Thon, NC State’s annual sustainability innovation competition is coming Jan. 26-28. During this three-day challenge, student teams research, design, prototype and pitch a new solution that addresses a sustainability challenge.

  • Starting Jan. 9, Yarbrough Drive behind Riddick Hall will be closed due to construction.
  • Registration is now open for Wellness and Recreation’s Goal Getter Challenge!
  • Wellness and Recreation is offering several free opportunities for students and staff members during Winter Welcome Week to try out programs and services. New faculty and staff members can also sign up for a free 30-day trial membership to try out the facility. Visit the Member Services desk for more information!

  • During the week of Jan. 15, NC State will host several events to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
  • On Jan. 23, the Office of Undergraduate Courses, Curricula, and Academic Standards will host an in-person CIM lab.
  • Guest artist and saxophonist Phil Barham and pianist Anatoly Larkin will perform lyrical saxophone, music of the 20th century presented together with acousmatic music of the 21st century on Jan. 16. Tickets will be available through Ticket Central soon.

  • The UNC System is sponsoring the implementation of the ACCESS program (Accessing Campus Connections and Empowering Student Success) at NC State to help students with ADHD succeed. Fill out an interest form to learn more.
