The Gephardt Institute is hiring a Graduate Assistant in Community Engagement! This role will assist with the operations and logistics of various community-facing programming opportunities for WashU students, with a primary focus on the St. Louis Fellows Program. The assistant will work with Gephardt staff to plan logistics for several key events, such as St. Louis-based immersion experiences, retreats, community events, and student presentations. This role is paid with a minimum of 10 to 15 hours per week during Spring and Summer 2025, and the option to renew for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) is hosting an evening of civic engagement. To kick it off, the two candidates for mayor, incumbent Tishaura Jones and Alderwoman Cara Spencer, will speak at a public forum. Elaine Cha, host of St. Louis Public Radio’s St. Louis on the Air, will moderate a Q&A.
Following the public forum, the Regional Arts Commission will host a panel discussion focusing on how the arts and creative thinking can play a more impactful role in civic participation and visioning at the local, state, and national levels. Panelists include: Randy Cohen, vice president of research at Americans for the Arts; Kyna Iman, a Jefferson City lobbyist and arts advocate; and Kelly McGowan, founder and executive director of Transform 314. Miniwanca is a summer camp that invites everyone to discover their own best selves, the richness of living a balanced life, and the power of creating inclusive, caring communities. Miniwanca is operated by the American Youth Foundation, which has administrative offices in St. Louis. We're currently hiring staff for many roles, including camp counselors, adventure trip leaders, facilities and food program team members, and many more.
Staff training is on June 15, and Summer camp runs from June 29 to Aug. 8. Housing and all meals are provided. All seasonal staff roles can be used for internship credit, if needed. Learn more and apply.

They are seeking a dynamic, energetic Legal Support Intern to join us for summer 2025. The Legal Support Intern will provide programmatic and administrative support to the IPP team in an effort to reduce mass incarceration.
