The long-awaited renovation of the Ranch House is finally in motion! On Friday, Aug. 29, we celebrated the official groundbreaking of the project.
A special thank you to our construction partners, RA Nelson and Architectural Design team, Land and Shelter for joining staff and Board Members, to mark this exciting milestone.
We look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses and can’t wait to unveil the improvements to our community.

Renovation Updates - Hot Tub & Lap Pool Closure
|
Demolition for the Ranch House renovation began on schedule commencing on September 2. We’re pleased to share that the lap lanes and hot tubs were reopened for use ahead of schedule!
Looking ahead, we anticipate a temporary closure of the lap lanes and hot tubs again in mid-November while roofing work is underway. This closure will be necessary to ensure a safe environment for all guests. The exact timing and duration are still being finalized, and we will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. This differs from our previously released estimated timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding—we continue to prioritize keeping those areas open as much as is possible.

We have noticed an increased number of phishing and spoofing emails come to us in recent months. We urge community members to be aware of these cyber attacks and think before you click!
Often hackers will visit the websites of an organization and impersonate employees. You may see an email that uses the name of someone at RVRMA, but when you click to reply, the email address may not look familiar. Remember, just because the heading displays a trusted name, it does not mean that the email address belongs to that person. If it seems Phishy, it’s probably Phishing!
Another form of phishing will use fake hyperlinks to lure you into sharing personal information. Spoofing happens when someone impersonates a trusted contact or brand to access your personal information. We urge the community to stay sharp and remember you can always call to confirm the email is legitimate.
If you want more information about how to recognize, avoid and report phishing scams, please visit, Federal Trade Commission Consumer Advice - How to recognize and Avoid Phishing.

Lights Out for Bird Migration |
|
|
|
Millions of birds are migrating through Colorado now through Sept. 24. Nighttime lights can confuse them, leading to deadly collisions. By turning off or shielding outdoor lights in the evenings, we can all help give our feathered friends a safer journey!

Safety Spotlight | Pruning of Dead Limbs |
Pruning trees up to 10 feet from the ground is one of the most effective ways to reduce “ladder fuels”—the low-hanging branches that allow fire to climb from the ground into the tree canopy. Both live and dead limbs can act as ladder fuels, so it’s important to keep them trimmed.
The 10-foot guideline not only helps protect against fire spread but also sets a safe limit for residents, avoiding the need to climb trees or cut overhead. When pruning, remember to retain at least 70% of the tree’s crown to support long-term health and sustainability.

Keep Dogs Leashed & Away from Wildlife |
|

We’ve received reports of dogs chasing foxes in the community, and in the past, pets have also been seen chasing deer. We kindly remind all homeowners to keep their pets from disturbing local wildlife, and please remember — Carbondale’s leash laws are in effect throughout RVR.
