Long Range Planning
Vote Passes
|
The recent vote on the proposed special assessment has concluded and the majority of the community has voted in favor of the assessment.
The vote results are as follows:
|
- Total number of lots/units who cast a vote: 383 (69% of all voters)
-
Number of "Yes" votes: 251 (66% of those who cast a vote)
- Number of "No" votes: 132 (34% of those who cast a vote)
- Number of lots/units who did not cast a vote: 169
|
| |
|
In order to pass, we needed a simple majority of “Yes” votes, with at least 60% of all properties participating (to meet a quorum). We have exceeded the quorum threshold with 69% of all properties participating in the vote. 66% of voters authorized the special assessment, representing a majority. As a result, the special assessment is hereby authorized.
The approved special assessment amount is $5,500 per lot or unit. Please note that the collection of this assessment will be carried out through a separate invoice, which will be sent to you in the near future. The invoice will have information regarding payment details inclusive of auto-pay options. You will have the option to make either a partial payment (1/2 of the assessment) or the full payment on or before October 1, 2024. If you are splitting up the payment, the second half of the amount owed is due on or before August 1, 2025. However, we want to emphasize that you are free to make the payment at any time that is convenient for you before the due date.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the special assessment or the payment process, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to assist you and provide any necessary clarifications.
*Please note, communication was sent yesterday noting different due dates for payments. To reiterate, you have the option make either a partial payment (1/2 of the assessment) or the full payment on or before October 1, 2024. If you are splitting up the payment, the second half of the amount owed is due on or before August 1, 2025.

World Migratory Bird Day is Saturday, May 11. Insects and their importance to migratory birds is the focus of this year’s global campaign. Insects are essential sources of energy for many migratory bird species during their journeys and greatly affect the timing, duration, and overall success of bird migrations. Birds play crucial roles in pollination and pest control, and a lack of insects disrupts these ecosystem functions. Ways we can help reduce the decline of their insect food source is to minimize light pollution at night and reduce the use of pesticides and herbicides in our yards. According to the Audubon Society, there are 5 species of migratory birds that seek out Colorado for the breeding season. They are the Yellow Warbler, Western Meadowlark, Cinnamon Teal, Say's Phoebe, and Spotted Towhee. So be sure to investigate those new flashes of color or unfamiliar bird songs in the coming month to celebrate our arriving feathered friends.

A kind reminder to RVR residents who are storing their deer fencing for the summer season: please make sure it’s stored out of sight from the street and from your neighbors.
