RVR Master Association Executive Board Election
The terms of office for current RVR Board President, Gary Lesser and current Board Vice President, John Lund, will expire in July.
Homeowners John Lund and Sherry Stripling each submitted Statements of Interest for the two available RVR Executive Board positions inside of the June 17 deadline. The RVR Policy for Board of Directors Election states, “In the event that the number of declared candidates to fill vacant RVR Board of Director positions is equal to the number of positions to be filled, the election shall be cancelled and those candidates shall be installed as RVR Board Members-At-Large.” Therefore, John Lund and Sherry Stripling are determined to be elected by acclamation and will be installed at the July 2022 RVR Board meeting.
Homeowners had a chance to meet John and Sherry and ask them questions last night at a Candidates Meet and Greet event. We would like to thank everyone who attended the event and congratulate John and Sherry  for their volunteer service!

Reminders & Highlights

Water Usage
We are happy to see that mother nature is keeping our landscape irrigated naturally this week. This is a great opportunity to drop your water usage in the short term and we encourage homeowners to to adjust their irrigation timers on rainy days.
Young Artists
We are looking for young artists, to display their work at the Ranch House during the month of July. So, if you know a talented young artist please contact Ali at ali.royer@rvrma.org for an opportunity to be a featured artist during the month of July.
Green Tip
Please enjoy the following eco-friendly tidbit brought to you by Friends of the Environment:
Taking a vacation this summer? Go green with your transportation with these tips:
  • Offset the carbon emissions produced by your flight. Nearly all airlines offer this option.
  • If flying out of Denver, Eagle, or Grand Junction, consider taking the Amtrak or Bustang out of Glenwood Springs instead of driving your car to the airport.
  • When renting a car, choose the smallest vehicle that is comfortable for you. Decline any "free" upgrades to larger cars that use more gas.
  • Rent a hybrid or electric car.
  • Taking a long road trip? If your vehicle is large and not very fuel efficient, consider renting a smaller car instead.
  • Try using public transportation instead of Ubers or taxis. Better yet, walk or bike.
You don't have to leave the green at home when you travel!
If you would like to join the Friends of the Environment mailing list, email courtney.eaton@icloud.com.
Dead Tree Initiative
RVRMA management has launched a dead tree removal initiative in RVR common areas. We have started the removal of all dead or dying trees from common areas and will continue to do so over the course of the summer. We endeavour to curb the risk of fire danger and enhance aesthetics with the elimination of these trees. We hope that the community will follow suit by clearing failing and dead landscape on their properties as well.
As a reminder, any tree removals on your property will require Administrative Approval. You can get started by clicking here to view the Home Improvement Application.
Courage Classic Fundraiser
We invite you to help support RVR member, Michael Waski, as he bikes (along with his family and friends) in the 2022 Courage Classic Bicycle Tour supporting Children’s Hospital Colorado!
The race will take place on July 16 and 17. In this biking event, Children’s Colorado hopes to raise $3 million dollars.
