Event with Amanda Peterson, Gen Z Candidate for MassGOP State Committee |
Tufts Republicans are excited to be hosting Amanda Peterson, a Gen Z candidate for the Massachusetts Republican State Committee and campaign manager for newly elected State Senator Peter Durant to talk about youth involvement in politics. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 7, at 8–9 p.m. in Goddard Hall 310 Crowe Room at Fletcher.

| Student Accessibility and Academic Resources (StAAR) Center Academic Success and Writing Workshops

The StAAR Center has great academic success and writing workshops this week! Join us for "Writing the Introduction for a Scientific Paper or Thesis" on Monday, February 5, at 12 noon–1 p.m. in SEC Anderson Room 210 and "Note-taking for Lectures and Seminars" on Thursday, February 8, at 4:30–5:30 p.m. in the Tisch Library Austin Conference Room. Also, back this week is "Senior Writers Accountability Group Write-In" on Saturday, February 10, at 10 a.m.–1 p.m. in Tisch Library Room 223.

Too Hot, Too Cold, Too Old: Climate Change through the Eyes of Black Baby Boomers in the American South |
The Environmental Studies department is very excited to host Dr. Lacee Satcher on Thursday, February 8, at 12 noon–1 p.m. as part of the Hoch Cunningham Environmental Lecture Series. Dr. Satcher is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Environmental Studies at Boston College. She will present her research on how older Black Americans in southern U.S. cities experience, engage, and make meaning of climate change discourse and policy. This talk will be livestreamed and recorded.

In this workshop, Tufts Career Fellows discuss strategies for students looking to build skills and utilize summer to its fullest potential. They present Tufts-specific resources, possible paths to consider instead of internships, and strategies for networking. Pizza will be included! Join us on Thursday, February 15 from 6 - 7 pm in Barnum 104.

Are you thinking about pursuing a sustainability-related internship this summer? The Office of Sustainability can help fund your internship! The Sustainability Exploration Grant provides funding for one student completing an unpaid internship in a sustainability-related field. Applications Open for the Global Research Assistant Program (GRAP)! |
GRAP provides the opportunity for Tufts students to work with Tufts faculty members on paid international research projects during the summer. Summer 2024 project locations include Costa Rica, Kenya, Malaysia, and the Philippines. GRAP is open to all Tufts undergraduates in their first, second or third year of study. Graduate students are eligible to apply, but priority will be given to undergraduate students. Apply by March 7 at midnight.
