KBUG: Budgets, Bookings, and Basic Travel Tips |
Students studying abroad in Spring 2024 or who are interested in studying abroad are invited to join the Tufts Global Education staff on Monday, October 10, at 5:30 p.m. in Dowing Hall 745B to learn about how to budget for your semester or year abroad. Tips for booking flights and air travel will also be covered.

Gastronativism: The Politics of Food and Sustainability |
Join New York University's Fabio Parasecoli for another installment in the Hoch Cunningham lecture series! The table unites and divides: It connects those who get to sit around it and excludes those who have not been invited. In recent decades we have witnessed the rise of gastronativism, the ideological use of food to determine who belongs and who doesn't in a community. This event will take place on Thursday, October 12, at 12 noon–1 p.m. in the Curtis Hall Multipurpose Room.

In partnership with the Office for Campus Life and TUSC, Tufts Student Life invites students, parents, and families to participate in Bingo on Friday, October 13, at 1:15 p.m. at Aidekman Arts Center Cohen Auditorium! Join Dean of Students Camille Lizarríbar ("Dean L."), members of Student Life, and TUSC, and show off your bingo (and trivia) skills. You bring the luck, and we'll provide the fun and fabulous prizes.

First-Year Spooky Sundae Social |
Calling all first-year students! You're invited to a spooky sundae social on Friday, October 13. That's right, on Friday the 13th! Come enjoy some ice cream, Halloween arts and crafts, and good conversation. The event will take place in the Dowling Hall Milmore Room at 1:30–3:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!

TCU Farmer's Market and TUSC Student Art Fair |
Come join TCU and TUSC on the Academic Quad on Friday, October 13, at 2–5 p.m. for a student art fair and farmer's market! All undergraduate students are welcome to participate in this event. Students and external vendors (including a coffee stand, tamale truck, and sustainable products shop) will be selling their products. Subsidized produce from New Entry Farm will be available also, and tickets are available on Tufts Tickets for purchase.

Join the Office for Campus Life, Student Life, Athletics, and TCU Senate on Saturday, October 14, at 4:30 p.m. on J Field for the Jumbo Block Party! Ramp up your school spirit with free food, games, and music before the football game. The first 1000 students at the event will receive a ticket to redeem at the game for a limited edition "Trunks Up" t-shirt.

Help Residential Life and Learning connect to your landlord or property manager to help future student searchers. Internal Transfer Informational Meeting: Arts and Sciences to Engineering
Arts and Sciences students interested in internal transfer to the School of Engineering are invited to attend a Zoom presentation on Wednesday, October 11, at 12 noon–1 p.m. SOE Senior Academic Advisors will go over courses for first-year students (focusing on fall 2023 course enrollment and spring 2024 registration), graduation requirements for Engineers, and the internal transfer process and criteria to prepare you for a successful internal transfer. Join the Zoom meeting on October 11 at 12 noon.
Save the date! The School of Engineering Majors Exploration Fair and Pizza Party is taking place on Wednesday, October 18, at 12 noon–1 p.m. Starring the EN Ambassadors, the SOE Senior Academic Advisors, a select group of EN1 Instructors and SOE Professors, the A&S Senior Academic Advisors, Representatives from the Gordon Institute, and the Derby Entrepreneurship Center.
October 10 is the final day to DROP a course without record of enrollment for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. (First-year students have until November 14.)
Do you have questions for your A&S, Engineering, or SMFA advising team? Students can stop by drop-in advising with any quick questions about advising, courses, or academic requirements.
