UC California Conservation Genomics 2020 Call for Proposals

The California Conservation Genomics Project (CCGP) seeks single and multi-investigator proposals from UC researchers to conduct conservation genomic research in California. The CCGP, funded by the state of California, involves conservation biologists, genomicists, ecologists and climate scientists from all ten UC campuses. The CCGP invites proposals from UC faculty members or researchers across all ten UC campuses.

The CCGP will focus primarily on three groups of species: threatened and endangered (T & E), commercially exploited, and wide-ranging foundational species of great ecological significance. However, the primary emphasis is on T & E species.

CNSI SEED-TECH Proposals due 3/6

The CNSI SEED-TECH Grants provide faculty with funding to support a demonstration of commercial value and/or commercial viability for UCSB technology, and to develop the technology towards a marketable outcome. Ultimately the SEED-TECH grants should enable one or more of the following

A spin-out compan
A new or expanded corporate sponsored research agreement
A licensing deal for intellectual propert

These awards can support direct costs of up to $50,000 over a period of 12 months. Up to 2 grants may be awarded in this round. Progress will be assessed via a combination of meetings and written reports.

COS Pivot is available to faculty, staff and students. Access is available via a campus network, or sign up for an account for off-campus access.
