Unless you’re growing them yourself, there’s truly no better place to find fresh alliums, herbs, and garnishes for your weekly cooking than at the market. From the piles of vibrant green onions at Bernhardt’s Farm to fragrant bundles of basil, oregano, thyme, cilantro, microgreens, and more across our farmers’ tables — you’ll find everything you need to bring extra flavor to your cooking.

We know this is a difficult time for many of our shoppers given the ongoing government shutdown and interruption of SNAP funding. In recognition of this increased hardship as we head into the holiday season, TFM is beginning its annual holiday food drive, in partnership with Keep Austin Fed, ATX Free Fridge, and the Central Texas Food Bank, early. Starting this weekend (11/8 & 11/9), TFM at Bell and Mueller will accept donations of both perishable and non-perishable, unexpired food at our info booths.
Our farmers are also losing income from SNAP shoppers and the Double Up Food Bucks program. For any shoppers in a position to this year, we encourage buying an extra bag or two of local produce to donate – helping both your neighbors in need AND the small, family farmers who rely on food access programs as a critical income stream. To show our gratitude, anyone who donates to the food drive will be entered into a drawing for a TFM market lover's merch bundle. Please visit the info booth at either market for more information.
While the ongoing shutdown and freeze of SNAP funding is a fluid situation, we want to remind you that TFM is still able to process SNAP transactions and provide Double Up Food Bucks for anyone who still has money on their Lone Star card. Please visit yourtexasbenefits.com for the latest information on SNAP fund availability and the organizations above for the most up to date information on local food distributions and other resources.
In times like these, we are so grateful to our TFM community for stepping up to support our farmers and neighbors.
