Welcome to the August Edition of the Comfort Connection!

August 12 is International Youth Day, so in recognition of that, we've gathered resources to help you (and your loved ones) learn more intergenerational solidarity! The more that we bridge generational gaps and build meaningful intergenerational relationships, the better for all of us at a global, community, and personal level.
"The world needs to leverage the full potential of all generations. Solidarity across generations is key for sustainable development. We must collaborate to foster successful and equitable intergenerational relations and partnerships to ensure “no one is left behind.”...

The 2022 International Youth Day will also raise awareness on certain barriers to intergenerational solidarity, notably ageism, which impacts young and old persons, while having detrimental effects on society as a whole."

Self/Family Managed Care

Manitoba is the only province that offers the Self and Family Managed Care Program to eligible home care recipients.
