Assistant Professor Jeff Conlin and colleagues conducted a meta-analysis to understand the effects of environmental “green” messages in advertising experiments. Results showed the effectiveness of green ads on ad and brand attitudes and purchase intentions. Across 45 comparison groups, green messages led to greater persuasive effects when the ads contained visuals and substantially explained the benefits of their claims (deep claims compared to shallow claims). Results also showed moderating influences of product involvement and advantages for unknown versus known brand names. This study appears in the International Journal of Advertising (2023).
Assistant Professor Steve Bien-Aime presented during the online short course “ProCPC I - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility” organized by the Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors (ABEC Brazil) on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Associate Professor Genelle Belmas' article co-authored with former J.D./Ph.D. student Harrison Rosenthal, "Cyber-Recapitulation? What Online Games Can Teach Social Media About Content Management," in the law journal Jurimetrics was chosen as a top paper for 2021 in the Rutgers Computers & Technology Law Journal's annual "Selected Bibliography on Computers, Technology, and the Law." This bibliography is "a compilation of the most important and timely Articles on computers, technology, and the law" and can be found at 48 Rutgers Computer & Tech. L.J. 301 (2022).
